About the Fula Network
A decentralized storage network governed by the people who hold its token.
A DAO, not a company
The Fula network is governed by Fula Governance Association, an association organized under the laws of Switzerland. It operates as a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) that provides all FULA token holders the opportunity to participate in network decisions.
Holding FULA is not only an economic position in the network — it is the means of taking part in how the network is run. Protocol direction, network parameters, treasury use and grant priorities are all matters the association exists to decide collectively, rather than matters handed to a single company.
What the association is responsible for
The FULA token
Issuance, distribution and treasury management of the FULA token sit entirely with Fula Governance Association.
Network governance
Protocol decisions and network parameters are set through the association's governance process, open to FULA token holders.
FEC NFTs
Founding Engineer Club NFTs and related collections are issued and managed by the association.
Grants
The association awards grants to independent teams whose work adds value to the network. See Grants.
Contributors are independent
Work on the Fula network is carried out by independent teams that receive grants from the association. Functionland Inc (Canada) is one such grantee: a separate and independent company that receives grants to work on development, marketing and maintenance of the network. It acts independently, has no authority to bind Fula Governance Association, and is not responsible for token related matters.
